Interesting reference. “Google, and click ‘images‘”

Goofy question 1: it‘s cute but does anyone actually need that advice?

Goofy question 2: how long will this instruction be usable anyway?

Bookwomble Published 2004, when doing that wasn't a given? 🤷🏻‍♂️ 2y
GingerAntics That does not seem scholarly at all. You never cite Google. Good lord. 2y
Graywacke @Bookwomble 2020 per verso page. 2y

Graywacke @GingerAntics casual, but they do have a proper citation too. I see it as an add-on reference, if you like. Kind of like, “hey, want to see what our source looks like?” 2y
Bookwomble @Graywacke Ah - Litsy has it as published in 2004 🙂 2y
Graywacke @Bookwomble I‘m wondering if I posted under the wrong edition. Correct editors, anyway. 2y
Graywacke @Bookwomble alright, this is really late, but I finally figured out E&W have two editions- this one with analysis (and which I don‘t have), and another with _all_ the sonnets, in theoretical chronological order of composition, but without much analysis, that i do have. My edition is 2020. This one is older. Hence the confusion. (Apologies) Hope this clears that up. (edited) 2y
Bookwomble @Graywacke No worries. I hadn't been losing sleep 😁 It makes sense that there was an earlier edition. 2y
Graywacke @Bookwomble it‘s the heavy weighted blue of my personality that makes me want to clear it up. 🙂 2y
Bookwomble @Graywacke I hear you - I would have *had* to do the same 😄 2y

Another edition of Shakespeare‘s Sonnets arrived today. (I think @TheBookHippie recommended this beautiful edition.) And I tried sonnets 1-3 today. These are freaking hard. #shakespearereadalong

(The books in the background are some of the 500 books (!!) we have boxed up to discard.)

Graywacke If anyone in the Houston area is interested in these 500 books, and willing to be so bold as come over, I‘ll give them to you at no charge. I‘m not suggesting this is likely. Anyway, message here and I can provide contact info. Our plan is to donate to the kids/YA‘s to schools, give Half-Price a pass on the rest. And then?? (edited) 2y
rockpools Wow, that‘s an incredible clear-out! Good luck re-homing them! 2y
DisneyFan If I lived closer, I‘d have taken you up on that offer! 2y

TheBookHippie Whew… they hang feminist in Texas or I‘d come 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♀️😅 2y
TheBookHippie And yes! I got mine right off my wishlist in a swap! So fun! So far I love it but yes going to have to do research last time I read these was college… in the 1980s🤣🤣🤣 2y
Graywacke @TheBookHippie tx is a weird place. (At least Houston leans blue.) 2y
Graywacke @rockpools thanks. We‘re ready reclaim our house from boxes. (After re-flooring) 2y
Graywacke @DisneyFan bummer! (Not that i wish texas on you. 😐) (edited) 2y
Suet624 @TheBookHippie I'm with you. Sadly, Texans will never get to meet me in person. I'm pretty fun. 2y
Graywacke @Suet624 I‘m not defending this place. ☹️ (but really, the bigger cities trend blue - Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso are all blue areas. But they still exist under the trumpy-red state regime) 2y
Suet624 @Graywacke I know you aren't defending Texas and I'm pretty sure there are some lovely places to visit in the state. I just don't want to give Texas any of my measly earnings as a tourist. I just don't understand how Texans can continue to support the actions of some of their politicians. Take care of yourself and be well. 2y
Graywacke @Suet624 I don‘t understand any of it. Drives me into books for escape! 🤷🏻‍♂️ 2y
GingerAntics This looks like a wonderful edition. 2y
Bookwomble @Graywacke I've voted Left all my life, yet somehow have always lived in areas run by Right parties. The universe drops us in weird places! Or, perhaps, places we're needed? 🤔 2y
Graywacke @Bookwomble oh, I really appreciate this post. I need partners in this. 2y
Graywacke @GingerAntics it is a really really nice edition. I‘m encouraged. I would be lost with only the Pelican one. 2y
Bookwomble @Graywacke ✊☺️ 2y
batsy That's beautiful! I've started on the sonnets and I'm pretty amazed at the theme that's emerging for the first 15 or so. 2y
SqueakyChu To move your books out, join #BookCrossing (Free) and post on their RABCK (random act of BookCrossing kindness) forum. I‘m sure you‘ll get some offers to pick up your books! If you were in Maryland, my fellow BookCrossers would *immediately* be at your house to pick them up! It‘s something we love to do! 2y

Graywacke @SqueakyChu I‘m checking it out. I posted a question about this in the Newbies forum. 2y
Graywacke @SqueakyChu username graywacke1 2y
SqueakyChu @Graywacke Cool. I‘ll friend you there! I‘ve been a member since 2003! Seriously. I totally love it and also belong to a real life BookCrossing group which I adore. (edited) 2y
SqueakyChu @Graywacke Well, I totally messed up my friend request to you there, but I did answer your forum question. Let me know what you decide to do! (edited) 2y
Graywacke @SqueakyChu i think we resolved it. I‘ll follow up this evening (hoping I have time) 2y
SqueakyChu @graywacke Yep. We're Bookcrossing friends now! :D 😀 2y

I just want to go back to #ShakespeareandCo 🤓 Is that too much to ask? On such a gloomy day here, I'd rather be there. Reading on the first floor and touching all those wonderful old books. 📚
