Buttons and Lace (Buttons #1) | 
pickI'm basing my rating on the overall series, not the 1st book specifically, because Buttons and Lace is *extremely* dark, graphic, and hard to read (major TWs for rape). But I was curious enough to finish the series to bring Pearl and Crow's story to a conclusion, and the third book was certainly my favorite of the bunch. DEFINITELY not for everyone, but if dark (and I do mean DARK) romance is your thing, this was a crazy ride with a lot of spice.

so-soUgh I can‘t with this. I know these types aren‘t my thing but my (new to reading!! 🌟) IRL friends are trying out the #steamy books, so I‘m joining in. I‘m no prude, certainly 😬, but I just found this too problematic to enjoy fully. If anyone has recs for intelligent and well done of these types, I‘d be interested in hearing about them.
bailedI couldn't finish this book. The context was more difficult to read than I anticipated. Is not a bad book per say and the writing style is fantastic, I just couldn't handle it.
