Ok, life has been getting in the way of my reading. Both boys celebrated birthdays this past week — 7 & 5 years old! 😭 🥰my sister in law was in to visit for birthday celebrations and the perfect weather had us outside playing baseball in the backyard. Chelsea.Poole @Megabooks just started This Might Hurt and it‘s not what I was expecting…feeling more novel-ish at the moment, to me, rather than thriller-ish. If that makes sense…? I mean thrillers are novels too I suppose…? It‘s the middle of the night and I‘m struggling to explain well lol 2y

Chelsea.Poole @Megabooks also SAME with death and dying in books. I have placed and canceled the hold for this one so many times. My mom was diagnosed with cancer last year and things just hit differently and much harder these days. I avoid for the most part. (She‘s gone through treatment and is finally back to being herself and no sign of cancer!!) Still haven‘t read it…

CarolynM I had a busy weekend (at the winery pressing grapes yesterday, stuff around the house today) so I've stalled on The Crowded Street. Hoping for some reading time tomorrow. 2y

Tamra Lovely looking start to Sunday! 😍 How do you like your butcher block countertops? I‘d like to replace our countertops, so I‘m pondering options. I don‘t want anything high maintenance because they get a lot of use! 2y

Cathythoughts @Tamra It‘s oak and we‘ve only had it a couple of years now… We love it. I sand it down & oil it every 3-4 months .. I do it at night and it‘s ready to use again next morning. Once there are no piles of water on it over night , it‘s fine. There‘s only 2 of us , so it‘s easy to maintain. I wipe off any excess water straight away. .. the man who did it for us has a young family & he has the oak too , there‘s a bit of maintenance, but it‘s lovely 2y

So many have been impressed, but my initial reaction to it is “no thanks!” (Maybe it‘s the cover!? 😝) CoHo is one of those hot authors currently. But that half time show! 🤩 those songs were big when I was in my early teens. So it was really great for my husband and I lol. I usually read and watch commercials but this year was different (for our whole county) as we had a local to root for! 2y

Sooo, I lost a week between Christmas and the New Year‘s holiday. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have lost track of weeks and days and time. Now that life is getting back to normal, I do know that today is Sunday because tomorrow is the dreaded Monday of all Mondays 😱

Well, I nearly succeeded in moving all of my #weeklyforecast titles over into the #bookreport section save for Libertie. I saw a post here (imagine that 😆) about A Very British Christmas which I was in the mood for so it bumped Libertie into next week. I had a great reading week, and looking forward to another short, Christmas themed title tagged ⬇️for this coming week as we head to the Hocking Hills to spend time with extended family 🎄 ♥️

#bookreport is only 3 books as this past week was super busy with the reopening of one of our system‘s branches following a renovation project. Really enjoyed the three I did read though!
Going to be a bit less optimistic with my #weeklyforecast since this is the week before Christmas! 😱
