pick2nd in the trilogy ,set in 1924.Hervey Russell is again at the centre as she becomes romantically involved with her cousin, Nicholas, while both have unhappy marriages, + Hervey is still managing her child and working life. It also focuses on politics in the 20s pilloring the greed/corruption of bosses, press + establishment while poverty cripples working men. The1st Labour govt is also featured with the zinoviev letter.An Interesting read
