This was a cute YA retelling of Austen‘s Mansfield Park, set against the backdrop of a summer theater program. Much like the original, there were lots of times when I wanted to throttle some of the characters! 😂
But it was fun to see the changes the author made and it was a quick, fun read.

Just starting this YA retelling of Mansfield Park set at a theater camp (as I am also listening to the BBC radio play of Mansfield Park). Contemporary Austen + theater setting = catnip

Claire LaZebnik writes modern day retellings of Jane Austen novels. This one rewrites my least favorite- Mansfield Park. I really enjoyed the changes she made although I might have been less enthused if it were based on a book I cared for more. #homage #feistyfeb
