I found this to be quite interesting. It was surprising to see how many people kept detailed accounts of the weather as a hobby back then. If you have ever wondered how quickly climate change can affect the economy, then this is for you.

Suet624 My father, who never talked once about the weather, religiously noted the day's weather in his journals with only one other life event noted. Apparently it was very important to him. 7y
