"A thriller packed with nonstop action, real-life name-dropping and enough cutting-edge science to make you wonder how much of it could be true." Kirkus Reviews The newest entry in the sizzling international thriller series featuring Nicholas Drummond, from #1 New York Timesbestselling author Catherine Coulter. Freshly minted FBI agent Nicholas Drummond is barely out of his Quantico training when he and his partner, Mike Caine, are called to investigate a stabbing on Wall Street. Their investigation, however, yields more questions than answers. It quickly becomes clear that the victim, John Pearce, was more than the naval historian and antiquities dealer he appeared to be. What Drummond doesnt know is that buying and selling rare books was Pearces cover, and that he had devoted his life to discovering the whereabouts of a missing World War I U-boat concealing a stash of gold bullion, and an unexpected surprise that only raises more questions. When Drummond and Caine find both of Pearces adult children have disappeared, the case assumes a new sense of urgency. The FBI agents know their best lead lies in the victims cryptic final wordsThe key is in the lock. But what key? What lock? The search for Adam and Sophia Pearce takes them on an international manhunt, which threatens to run them afoul of an eccentric billionaire industrialist with his own plans not only for the lost gold, but the creation of a weapon unlike anything the world has ever seen.

Nicholas and Mike (Mikayla) are in a race against time to find the “key” to Marie Currie‘s polonium before a madman gets his hands on it. These books are very serious yet funny at times, with Nicholas and Mike‘s banter back and forth. There is also an attraction between the two of them that makes you hope that they finally become a couple, not just partners. #SeriesLove2023 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

I really enjoy this series from Catherine Coulter and JT Ellison. The series, A Brit in the FBI, centers around Nicholas Drummond and I really enjoy his character. He manages to only bend the rules a little while working for the FBI. I love the chemistry he has with his partner, Michaela Caine. I am definitely ready to read the next in the series.

I enjoyed book #2 in the Brit in the FBI series. Drummond and Caine make a great team. The book takes you from NY to London to Scotland to Paris and back to NY. An intriguing background story to support the mystery. I'll definitely be reading book 3.

What a week. I had dental work, my husband had carpal tunnel surgery, both kids had multiple school functions. This weekend we are driving to see my son's school band perform 3 hours from home and spending time at an amusement park. Early start at 5am. My husband picked an audiobook for us to listen to. Between my group reads, reading with the kids and my own picks, I'm at 9 books in progress.😳I really need to finish some! 📚

melrailey I find it funny that I made a similar post today - side effect of Litsy? No I've always been that way BUT with Litsy I know I'm not the only one. 7y
Texreader I had a crazy busy week and ended up sick on Friday making me cancel weekend plans. Take care of yourselves! 7y

Read4life @Texreader I hope you feel better soon. My sweet husband surprised me with a therapeutic massage last evening. He said I needed to take care of myself with everything going on. Very sweet. 7y
