This is what it looks like when your library will only go to 1,000 books and you have a nerdy mom and a former teacher grandma :)

Signed Wes up for this today! Thanks to Litsy I was able to figure out we‘ve read at least 35 books including some adult chapter books :)
Some good news to kick off the new year: this amazing accomplishment was posted in a local library‘s Facebook feed. The library‘s website reports that they recently signed up the 100th participant in this program.
Has anyone seen this app? The idea is to read your child 1,000 books before they start kindergarten. The app helps you keep track of what books you've read (which is awesome for an organization geek like me). We've got a long way to go, but it's fun to keep track!
#Giveaway alert from @BookishTrish who has gained 1k followers! 🎉
Thanks to Litsy I have added over 100 books to my TBR in the past six months. (That's over 100 that are directly attributable to Litsy and that I still haven't read. 😆)
#1000reasons
I just finished organizing all my books and scanning them into Goodreads. 991 books. I personally own 991 books. This doesn‘t include my husband‘s books, the kids‘ books, books I‘m borrowing, books from the library...
This is also not all of my bookshelves. 😂 #shelfie @jess.how - I should have saved this for today! I didn‘t realize the #spookyoctober prompt was shelfie today.
My son and I went to a new library today and got a second library card, and they have this program to encourage families to read with their kids: 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. The pamphlet says if you read one book a day to your child, you'll be able to read 1,000 in three years. My son starts kindergarten in three months. So he says, "Let's do this!" I've read 11 picture books today so far, and we're not to bedtime yet. ? #raisingareader
