Pickpick

3⭐️ and just about a pick, mainly for the setting (Iceland) and the fact that the protagonist was Scottish. Not as fun as a good Alistair MacLean, but certainly an OK thriller.

wanderinglynn You ran 19km this week AND are crushing your book goal and it‘s not as good as you expected?!? You‘re being too hard on yourself! I think you did awesome! 🙌🏻 It‘s good to strive for more, but be proud of what you did accomplish! 🎉 Say it with me, “I am awesome!” 💜 5y
CaroPi @wanderinglynn well I am proud of what I accomplished but I feel bad for making excuses to not do the challenge... (edited) 5y

Finished the 5k, but not before twisting my ankle. 😩 Here‘s to hoping that plenty of “fluids” will do the trick. 😊😊

jfalkens Hope you feel better soon xxx 6y

Although Desmond Bagley's espionage thriller (first published in 1970 and republished in 2017) is in many respects a product of its time (although I have to say that it wasn't nearly as sexist as I feared it would be), it's still a fast-paced, entertaining action thriller that kept me turning the pages from beginning to end.
