Mug Shot
Mug Shot: A Java Jive Mystery | Caroline Fardig
7 posts | 1 read | 1 to read
Full of humor and suspense, the Java Jive series heats up as the irrepressible heroine of Death Before Decaf faces off against Nashvilles upper crust to solve a shocking murder. Former musician Juliet Langley has barely had a day off since taking over management of the coffeehouse owned by her best friend, Pete Bennett. But theres always more to be donesuch as prepping for the annual Holiday 5K Race organized by Petes snobby socialite girlfriend, Cecilia Hollingsworth. This year, Java Jive has a booth right at the finish line, and since Juliet and Cecilia dont always see eye to eye, everything has to be perfect. Nothing can go wrong. Nothing . . . like Juliet stumbling over Cecilias dead body on the morning of the race. When Pete is arrested for Cecilias murder, Juliet sets out to clear his name. Shell do whatever it takeseven if it means standing up to the police, her ex-boyfriend, and the grande dames of Nashville. But there isnt enough espresso in the world for the greatest challenge in her path: infiltrating Nashvilles high society to uncover the hidden hotbed of scandal without running afoul of the law herself. With her last dime staked on Petes bail bond and her staff growing jittery, the last thing Juliet needs is for her trademark temper to land her behind bars. As time drips away, Juliet needs to crack this case before the killer comes back for another shot. Advance praise for Mug Shot The story is fast-paced and keeps you guessing to the very end. This author comes up with some very interesting ways to kill someone, and her injection of humor at just the right time is perfect. On its own, Mug Shot is a really good read, but if you follow the series, it will be even better.Linda Thompson, host of The Authors Show Praise for Caroline Fardigs Death Before Decaf I was hooked from the first page. And this is the other side of the mug from @outofprint . The cat looks almost exactly like #Coale, and I think we may even have a picture or two of him doing this exact thing, lol. This is the Coale Mug 😂😹👏🏻. By the way, this mug has a very comfortable grip. #catsofLitsy

Emiller I have that mug!! It my fav! 7y

mrsmarch So here's a weird detail about me: I am very picky about mug handles and frequently hold mugs by the "neck" instead because I broke my pinky 14 years ago and it still gives me pain. Mugs with the wrong sort of handle on are aaaaaaagony. 7y

Zelma @mrsmarch not weird at all. My dad and I are vary particular about our mug handles and refer to them as two-finger mugs, etc. Most comfortable are three- and four-finger mugs. I can't deal with tiny handles. 7y
mrsmarch @Zelma I figured it was the "because of the broken pinky" that was weird and not the mug handle thing ?☕️ 7y

MrBook @mrsmarch @Zelma That's why I like it so much, my fingers aren't scrunched together in uncomfortable fashion. 👍🏻👍🏻 7y

This is a close-up of the fantastic mug I chose from @outofprint 😁👍🏻👍🏻. Besides what's on it, my favorite thing about it is its shape. We don't have any other mugs like it.

LiteraryinLawrence I have the tee shirt from Out of Print with that message! I love it! 7y
