pickThis collection of short stories reminded me of why I love Skjelbred‘s writing and stories so much. The stories takes place in the past, before mobiles, phones and when owning a car was something big. The focus is mostly on mother-child and grandma-child relations, on love and loss.

A novel by an Norwegian author, and I‘m not even sure how well known this is in Norway.
We follow the adult Signe as she‘s looking back on the summer when her grandpa help her handle something that happened. Just looking at the cover and the felling I had reading this over 10 yrs ago returns.
