Feminist Icon Cross-Stitch
Feminist Icon Cross-Stitch: 30 Daring Designs to Celebrate Strong Women | Anna Fleiss, Lauren Mancuso
7 posts | 6 to read
Trailblazing women take center stage in Feminist Icon Cross-Stitch, a collection of stylish patterns and capsule biographies that celebrates some of our favorite lady heroes. Feminism is back in the spotlight, and powerful women, from Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Malala Yousafzai to Gloria Steinem and Michelle Obama, have inspired a whole new generation to smash the patriarchy. With an introduction on the rise of modern feminism, and instructions on the basics of cross-stitch, this book features patterns for embroidering twenty iconic women -- like suffragette Susan B. Anthony, author Virginia Woolf, political icon Hillary Rodham Clinton, and pop superstar Beyonc -- and ten empowering feminist sayings. This charming book gives today's nasty women everything they need to begin crafting hip, feminist works of art.

LiteraryinLawrence What a beautiful sight! 6y
TheLibrarian What a glorious sight! That‘s what I miss most about my old job. It was a college library but I was in charge of the popular fiction collection. 6y

Graciouswarriorprincess @TheLibrarian Myself and a colleague give recommendations to the cataloging department and they place the orders. 6y
JosieG My library system always puts new and starred books up front, so when you walk in any branch, that's what you see first for books. Those shelves are a must-see for me, and one of my favorite parts of the library. ❤ 6y

This almost makes me want to learn cross-stitching but I'm so notoriously bad at anything sewing related :(.

This comes out in October #RebelRebel. I have some gripes about if some of the people here should really be considered rebels but that's for another time.

Cinfhen Please share...I love #gripes 😉 7y
