The Last Kids on Earth meets Goosebumps in this hilarious new series about a secret society of babysitters who protect kids from the monsters that really do live under their beds! When middle schooler Kelly Fergusons Halloween plans switch from party-going to babysitting, she thinks the scariest part of her night will be the death of her social life. But then Baby Jacob gets kidnapped by the Boogeymans minions and Kelly learns theres a whole lot more to childcare than free snacks and Netflix. Like chasing shadow monsters, drop-kicking Toadies, and mastering monster-fighting moves like the Naptime Headlock and Playground Punch. Now, with the help of an ancient handbook and a secret society of butt-kicking babysitters, Kelly sets out to destroy the Boogeyman before he brings Jacobs nightmares to life. But when the monsters trail leads to her schools big Halloween bash, Kelly will have to prove she can save the worldwithout totally embarrassing herself in front of her friends. Packed with black-and-white illustrations and insider secrets from the world of monster hunting, A Babysitters Guide to Monster Hunting is full of tricks, treats, and terrifying twists!

“Don‘t f*** with the babysitter!”

If this weren‘t a middle grade novel, this line from Adventures In Babysitting would have been very appropriate. Instead of going to a Halloween party, Kelly ends up with her first babysitting gig. She has a lot to learn. Jacob is kidnapped by monsters and she finds out there is a secret society of babysitters who protect special kids. This was a lot of fun. Kathleen McInerney‘s audio narration was great.

Bookzombie @BarbaraBB Thank you to you and Cindy for hosting. I understand why you are putting it on hold though. ❤️ 6mo
BarbaraBB Thanks Margie 🩵 I added your song to the list. It may very well be the final one 🤷🏻‍♀️ 6mo

#TitlesandTunes #Blues

“Nobody leaves this place without singing the Blues.”

When someone talks about Blues music, Adventures in Babysitting is immediately where my brain goes. For my book pick, I‘m going to read the tagged because I think the song will pair well.

Look what my 7 year old grandson gave me and my husband for Christmas. He took books off of his bookshelf because he says he doesn‘t have money and knows I love books. He even put on a Christmas tag.

I was not good during the last #BookOutlet sale. At least a 3rd are sequels to books I already own. Plus I was in a fall spooky/ murdery mood. Two of these may end up in swap boxes and there are 6 more not pictures that are intended for swap boxes. #bookhaul

Avanders So. Much. Fun. 6y

#FallIntoBooks Day 4: Occupation in Title
I picked up this book for 3 reasons. 1. I thought it'd be a fun read for #LittensDressedInBlood 2. The author wrote the script for Dance of the Dead which is hilarious and one of my fav movies 3. I have no self control

BekahB This was a fun read. I wish this had been around when I was a kid. I'm definitely picking up the next one in the series when it's released! 😄 7y
