This was the prequel to the Ginger Gold series. Ginger is taking a trans-Atlantic voyage to England to settle her late father‘s estate aboard the SS Rosa. Alas first their is a theft and then a murder. Ginger assists the Scotland Yard inspector, who is onboard, in solving the mystery. A good start to a new series. There are hints about Ginger‘s activities in WWI (was she a spy???) and the beginnings of a friendship with the inspector.

Listened to this one as an audio book as I was crocheting. Nice quick read/listen.
I actually have the ebook of this one and the 2nd book in the series but when I saw my library had it as an audio I had to get it. I loved the way that the author writes and the detail of the time period that she gives.. I will definitely continue this series. I guess it‘s a historical cozy mystery.. well however you would categorize it i loved it.

katy4peas Currently listening to this series with the same narrator as the series I just finished. You would probably enjoy the one I just finished if you liked these: The High Society Lady Detective mysteries by Sara Rosett. I loved Olive as the main character. There are four books right now and they are a quick listen with likable characters and fun twists. Same narrator also. 😁 4y
Melli I will check out that author thanks for the recommendation 4y

This was a cute & quick lil cozy! I enjoyed the descriptions of all the beautiful ladies outfits. Loved the characters & Ginger the main characters bold actions. Will probably grab the next book in the series since this was so quick & enjoyable!

huntersmom1977 Historical Fiction? I‘m a huge fan of historical fiction 6y
SassyBookworm @huntersmom1977 yes ma‘am!!! Most of the books I read are historical fiction! I have a weakness for WWI & WWII book (or at least around that time period, this book is set in 1923). 6y
