Madcap escapades of a group of “Real Housewife”types,Main Line style, during the Christmas season. Kristen owns an antique shop in town and is just getting by, but her wealthy friends include her on the trip to Miami to solve the mystery of the kidnapping of the brother of Bootsie. Lots of booze, restaurants and designer duds. I think this could be a type of cozy. Small town mystery but amped up big time! Part of a series, but this is it for me!

This was a requested Christmas gift last year. The author is local, and the setting is my hometown. It has languished on the shelves, until #booked2018 #featuresaholiday brought it to the forefront! Would have liked a Holiday background, but no decorating yet! Have to wait until my stitches are removed and I am out of this sling!

If you‘re looking for a ridiculously funny mystery populated with Drama Queens who shriek and scream one-liners and non-sequiturs, this series is for you. Korman has taken the cozy mystery, dressed it in Gucci, soaked it in good vodka, and then propped it up with clever, in-your-face storytelling. Implausible? You bet. Does it work? Absolutely. Recommended for mystery readers who take their mysteries with a good red wine and some quality cheese.
