Sleepy Hollow, Volume 1
Sleepy Hollow, Volume 1 | Marguerite Bennett
1 post | 3 read | 1 to read
The hit FOX tv series comes to life in this graphic novel series. Since Ichabod Crane woke in present day Sleepy Hollow, New York after dying on the battlefield in the Revolutionary war, he and police lieutenant Abbie Mills have come to expect that evil always finds its way into the town of Sleepy Hollow. But they will learn that sometimes, it's already there, waiting to be unlocked and unleashed on the souls unlucky enough to find it. Items as harmless as a music box or grandfather clock can be used as weapons in the ongoing war to bring about the apocalypse. Abbie and Crane will have to rely on each other if they are both to make it out alive. Written by Marguerite Bennett (A-Force, Angela: Aasgard's Assassin) and illustrated by Jorge Coelho (Polarity, Loki: Agent of Asgard), this action-packed volume takes place during the first season of the fan-favorite television series and features stories of Ichabod and Abbie's hilarious day to day life in the 21st century by Noelle Stevenson (-Nimona, Lumberjanes).

One of my book groups is having a graphic novel/comics month so I picked this one to read first. I absolutely loved the show Sleepy Hollow that it is based on. However this just didn't have the same feel to it that I was hoping it would.
