#BBRC #A2Z wrap up! I read 54 picture books; it was hard to stop at just one for most letters! Tagged a favorite, but almost everything was a solid 👍read.

I love the growing diversity in picture books. Characters included LGBT, Muslim, deaf, PoC, immigrants, Jewish, blended families, strong female characters, and more! Topics include: white privilege, poverty, segregation, the immigrant experience, and inclusive fairy tale retellings. 💜

The pictures alone make this a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read! I think I spent 5 minutes just gazing at the cover, absorbing the different glasses, clothes, bodies, facial expressions. Little text, but big impact. Sporty is represented by a person with a prosthetic leg, which I 💜. Dedication was also 👍👍.

There is loveliness to be found everywhere and in everyone. The pictures are what make this book special. Diverse, inclusive, and colorful. The text is not amazing, but it is sweet, and the pictures alone make this a five-star read for kiddos.
