My first attempt at King Cakes. Not too bad, although I should have used more filling. What are some of your favorite Carnival or Mardi Gras stories?

I got the baby in my last piece of king cake!! #mardigras #lagirl

Kaye I‘m not familiar with the tradition. Does this mean you‘ll be having the next baby ? 6y
NovelGirl82 @Kaye It symbolizes luck & prosperity for the coming year to the person who ends up with it in their slice of cake. That person is also responsible for buying the king cake/throwing the Mardi Gras party the following year. 6y
Kaye That‘s really interesting 🙂 Thanks for explaining. I‘ve heard about finding the baby in the cake, but not what it meant. 6y
