Mammogram done today. It wasn't horrible but... I feel so tired and worn out and my chest feels a little on the sore side. Anyway ... Check your girls! They need to be taken care of!

kamoorephoto I did it for the first time 2 weeks ago (same week as a Covid test and a colonoscopy, so it was a VERY rough week). I also managed to give myself close to 3rd degree burns on hot soup prepping with my liquid diet (and had to update my tetanus shot)! I‘ve had enough body maintenance in the last few weeks…! 💓🤦🏻‍♀️ 2y
ElizaMarie @kamoorephoto wow that's pretty intense!!! I am glad that week is over for you and your body can rest! 2y

Annual PSA. Get those boobies checked! My mother died from breast cancer, diagnosed when it was already stage IV. She may have survived had she gotten regular screenings. My aunt was saved by early detection, because she did get regular screenings. Don‘t skip it. If it‘s been more than a year, schedule your mammogram. ❤️ Just do it!

janeycanuck A very important message! My community has a weekly breast cancer clinic with all the appropriate doctors and technicians. If you find a lump, you can get all your diagnostic testing done and assessed in one day. I‘m so sorry to hear about your mother but happy your aunt had a different outcome. 3y
Mollyanna I concur! My college roommate is a breast cancer survivor and my mother is a two time breast cancer survivor. Both because of early detection. It is sooo important. It uncomfortable for 10 minutes or so, but may save your life. 3y
Elizabeth2 @janeycanuck love that! The easier we make it for people, the more screenings there will be. 💗 3y

Elizabeth2 @Mollyanna agreed! So glad for your mom and your college roommate. My aunt‘s was found in the very early stages when she was 45. She had surgery and never had a recurrence. My mom never had a mammogram (even though her sister had breast cancer, even though we begged her to). She was 65 when she was diagnosed. I‘m following my aunt‘s example. Haven‘t missed one yet. 💗 3y
STORYBOOK-CAFE My mother too died of breast cancer. She went in with a small lump and the doctor told her she had nothing to worry about, she was too young for breast cancer and sent her home. Some months later it was beyond painful and she was in stage IV. Please yes always get checked and get a second opinion. 3y
Elizabeth2 @Monticello I‘m so sorry. It‘s an awful disease. 💗 3y
STORYBOOK-CAFE @Elizabeth2 I'm so sorry for your loss as well. It is awful. It's just the worst. I pray someday a cure can be found and so much suffering can be abated. 3y

This is my annual reminder to get your tatas checked! I‘m going tomorrow. If you have a family history, don‘t wait until you are in your 40s to start! My first mammogram was at 35.

My mom celebrated her 1 yr anniversary from finishing chemo and radiation for BC in June. 🎉🎉

daena Congratulations to your mom! That is cause to celebrate! 5y
alisiakae @daena Thank you. 💓 5y
Cinfhen Love to your mom 💕💕I‘ve shared before that 2/4 of my Sister in laws have had breast cancer. One was under 30 the other 42. Saving TaTa‘s rule!!!! 5y
