I tried to finish this before the #24B4Monday readathon began, but I didn't quite make it. Basic 70s sci-fi, 6 criminals/misfits are offered pardons in exchange for going on a dangerous mission on an unexplored planet. It would have been a fun adventure except for the casual (and some not so casual) sexism and racism. 3 💥💥💥 out of 5.

BeansPage Have wanted to read these for so long... It is a series right? Or am I nuts? 5y
RamsFan1963 @TheReadingMermaid Yes it's a series, four books in all. The author is Edmund Cooper, writing under the pen name of Richard Avery. The others are The Rings of Tantalus, The War Games of Zelos and The Venom of Argus. 5y
