I started reading these paranormal fantasies years ago, and the first couple qualify as #oldfavorites, but then something (*cough*dissertation*cough*) got in the way and suddenly there are 14 or so in the series! It's a total #bookwormproblem that I slammed through the first three at the library only to find that they dont have any more until bk 8 😅. #30junebooks @howjessreads

I love this book. When I first stumbled on Wilks' Lupi books it was with this one. I read it over and over before finding the rest of the series. I have literally read the cover off of my paperback version.

A lot happens, it's hard to sum up: The clan heirs are attacked by demons, Cynna and Cullen finally hook up, and the level of magic in the world is increasing with as yet unknown consequences.

Someone is using demons to kill people and influence politicians. Lily, Rule, Cynna, and Cullen come together over the holidays to solve the murder and stop the bad guys. Also, big things are in store for Cynna and Cullen.
