Charles Bowen is an immigration officer with a difference: the migrants he deals with don't come from other countries but from other universes. Known as shifters, they materialize from parallel timelines, bringing with them a mysterious drug called slip which breaks down the boundary between what is and what might have been, and offers the desperate and the dispossessed the tantalizing possibility of escape. Summoned to investigate a case at the Thurston Meadows Social Inclusion Zone, Bowen struggles to keep track of his place in the world and to uphold the values of the system he has fought so long to maintain... One of Britain's most exciting and innovative science fiction writers, Chris Beckett is the winner of the 2013 Arthur C Clarke Award and the 2009 Edge Hill Prize. Marcher is perhaps his finest work to date. This is the author's preferred text, significantly revised, and the book's first release in the UK.

Not a lot of physical reading this month. Days have been filled with work and other fun things (beach trip ftw!).

I always wonder about the mood graph, some of them just don‘t jive for me.

Some of these have been lingering on my Libby hold list for way too long. I need to stop rescheduling the delivery and just listen to the darn thing or remove the hold. Hoping to clear off some of these titles in March! Secretly hoping for #13 to be pulled so I can listen to as much David Sedaris as possible before our April event to see him 🤩 Also, if anyone spots any stinkers on this list, let me know - I am wishy washy on several!

TheAromaofBooks Yay!!! Good luck!!! 2y
Megabooks Duck is so good! Absolutely worth 1000 pages! 2y

eeclayton I loved Strangers on a train 😊 2y
Chelsea.Poole @Megabooks I have read about 1/3 of it. I was sooo loving it but it was just so incredibly long and I put it down to get a couple of things knocked out quickly. That was over a year ago at this point 😆 but thank you! I‘m a little bit scared its number going to get pulled 😬 🦆 2y
Chelsea.Poole @Megabooks hmmm maybe I‘ll do audio. If it does get “assigned”. 2y
Chelsea.Poole @eeclayton ohh good!! I have been trying to throw a few older titles into my reading life instead of only reading new releases. glad to hear the love for it! ☺️ 2y
