Hello everyone! Needing some help. Looking for vegetarian cookbooks. I don't want student, low fat, high fat, simple or overly complex 30 ingredient recipes. Just good hearty vegetarian foods like pastas, risottos, stews and tray bakes with lots of flavour and healthy. Thanks in advance!

KarenUK I love both of Yotam ottolenghi‘s books that are veggie focused... 💕 6y
julesG My favourite, which I practically stole from my friend (and bought her another copy): 6y

laurieluna @KarenUK looking at the photos of what others have made I'm salivating! @julesG thats one that is on my radar! 😄 6y
KarenUK @julesG great pick! I love Hugh! 💕 6y
julesG @KarenUK I wish I could watch the show and could afford more of his books. Guess I'll just have to put cookbooks on my second hand book radar. 😉 6y
BethM One of my friends loves Thug Kitchen. 6y
laurieluna @BethM I looked at that one. I see all these names like Thug Kitchen and Bosh! And get confused as to what they're trying to do. 'Hearty Vegetarian Meals' is a title I want to see. 😂 6y
IamIamIam Check out anything from the Moosewood Collective. It's a vegetarian restaurant in upstate NY & they've made a number of great cookbooks. 6y
Aimeesue I use Rose Elliot's New Complete Vegetarian a lot, and Mollie Katzen's The Enchanted Broccoli Forest. Neither are photo heavy, though, if that's important. Forest is hand lettered illustrated by Katzen. Good luck! (edited) 6y
laurieluna @IamIamIam @Aimeesue @LittleWonder thank you all! Shall make a note of them and who suggested them! 😄 6y
MarriedtoMrT I second Thug Kitchen. I‘m not vegetarians vegan but we live this cookbook in our house. @BethM 6y
Blaire Here are two of our most used 6y
ravenlee I like Mollie Katzen's Vegetable Heaven, Nava Atlas' Vegan Express, Laura Theodore's Jazzy Vegetarian Classics, and Kristy Turner's But I Could Never Go Vegan! Also, Crescent Dragonwagon's Bean by Bean has some great legume recipes, not all vegetarian. 6y
Kristy_K I second (or third) Thug Kitchen! The directions are super easy to follow and the food good. I like this one as well: 6y

Had my first anniversary of turning vegetarian on May 1st. I'd like to be less "clueless" about it this year! Anyone have recommendations for great vegetarian (or vegan) recipe books?

LDuffN I don't but my mom makes a really good black bean and sweet potato chili that you wouldn't know was meatless. 6y
JPeterson I‘ve just started to eat more vegetarian, and someone on here recommended this cookbook, which has become my absolute favorite: 6y
Onioons Thanks @JPeterson that looks great! And thanks @LDuffN I'd take a cook over a cookbook any day 😊 6y
Lindy Check out Laura Wright‘s blog, http://thefirstmess.com. I‘ve been a vegetarian for 40 years and one cookbook I still return to is the original Moosewood: 6y
Onioons 40 years, wow @Lindy ! I really love the illustrations in the Moosewood Bible posts. Will check it out, thanks 🥕 6y
