I have binged-listened to the Mrs. Jeffries audiobooks over the last several months. They are very formulaic but sweet and cozy Victorian mysteries. A good way to pass the time, altho the print covers are horrible.

I wanted a quick read hoping that this would get me through this reading slump. Nope. Now I know why it takes 12 people to help Inspector Witherspoon solve a crime. Clues were FALLING into their laps and everyone‘s reaction, “Oh, I wonder what to do with this bit of information. It can‘t be important. I‘ll just forget about it.” What!? Not difficult to figure out who the killer is either.
