I Love You Daddy | 
I don‘t want to be a downer, but today is the 9 year anniversary of losing my daddy & I‘m having a hard time today. He was sick & fought for a long time before losing his battle with colon cancer. There are many in my family who feel like I should be past being so down about it by now, so I just wanted to share him with you guys- my other family. Thanks for always being here for me.

Eggbeater I am sorry for your loss. I lost my dad 4 years ago and the grief comes in waves for me. I can't fight feelings, I just have to accept them as they come. You miss your dad because you loved him. That is only natural. My heart goes out to you today.❤ 5y

Kaye Everyone handles loss differently. Do what is best for you, not what others think is best. Nothing wrong with honoring the memories you had with your dad. You were fortunate to have him, so celebrate that. (edited) 5y

litmuggle1 If you love someone there will always be a hole, everyone heals diffrent. I lost a brother 20 years ago and every year me and my mom get rather down while everyone else goes on. We push through but its a gap and hard to me it just means that we loved him so hard a part of him will always be with us. He looks like a great dad I'm glad you had him as long as you did.❤ 5y

Eggs I can relate...lost my dad at 17 and have never been able to fill up that hole. There is such a thing as cumulative grief. (((((Hugs))))) 5y
