Pickpick

What can I say about this one? Good plot, but the writing style was juvenile and underdeveloped. Looked the author up, and she's quite popular and has written over 50 books. Am I the only one turned off by mediocre writing? Ultimately, this was a pick because it kept me reading despite my issues with the verbiage. (Seriously, though - if you read that a character 'started to begin' something, does the passive redundancy bother you?) 🤯
