A Christmas Revelation
A Christmas Revelation | Anne Perry
10 posts | 9 read | 3 to read
"In this intriguing, uplifting holiday mystery from bestselling author Anne Perry, an orphan boy investigates a woman's kidnapping--and discovers there's more at stake than a disappearance. When Worm, a young orphan boy who works at the local clinic, sees Eloise being kidnapped by two men in the days leading up to Christmas, he immediately recruits Squeaky Robinson to help rescue her. But as they track Eloise down, they're surprised to hear that she does not, in fact, wish to be rescued. Instead, Eloise intends to bring the kidnappers, who drew her father into their shady business deals and then murdered him, to justice. The kidnappers are skilled illusionists, and after they try their tricks on Worm and Squeaky, the friends are determined to help Eloise with her plan--and they might just be able to use the kidnappers' tricks against them"--

3⭐️ It was ok. I thought most of the story was pretty good, but I could have done with a few more breaks towards the end. I also felt that some details were a little too rushed and passed me by too quickly. #christmasstories #fiction #bookreviews #bookstagram #historicalfiction #mystery #readnosedreindeer #wintergames2020 #holidayread #bookspinbingo

Finally received this hold at the library. It was a very enjoyable, quick read. I saw that @Booksnchill reads an Anne Perry novella each year around the holidays and I may have to steal this brilliant idea! This was my first and I loved it! #litsyreads

My standard Christmas Eve read is one of Anne Perry‘s novellas and this one does not disappoint. Side characters Worm and Squeeky pull off a Christmas miracle! Lovely- soon I will open my #JolabokaflodSwap box and spend my Christmas Eve reading a book and eating chocolate!

Quick little read set in Victoria England. Work sees a lady kidnapped on the street, but not all is as it seems.

Set in Victorian London, this mild mystery is a sweet story about the meaning of Christmas spirit and never giving up. It's incredibly short and easy to read. Perfect for even the busiest readers this holiday season.

Taking a break from reading Anne Perry's latest cute novel to go Christmas Tree Hunting. It's a family tradition. I've cut down a tree almost every year of my existence. This is Beau's second Christmas and second time hunting a tree! She hasn't missed out since she came home with us. This year we even matched all our outfits!
