And now that theyve made it to Safe Haven, South Carolina, she wont let anyone stand in her way. When he offers Anna and her daughters a place to stay in exchange for her help with renovations, shes tempted. His gentle way with her girls makes her want to trust him, but shes been wrong before A family is the last thing contractor and former military man Sean ODwyer wants right now. But when he discovers Anna and her girls, he recognizes kindred spirits. Theyre survivors whove seen the worst of people, just like he has, and hell do anything he can to help them. As he and Anna spend their days bringing the cottages back to life and their nights sharing kisses in the warm bayou breezes, Sean must choose between the life he always wanted and the family he cant live without.

Finished just this morning and I really liked it. It‘s the first in a series and if you like Robyn Carr, you‘ll love this. I loved getting to know the people of Safe Haven, South Carolina and the oldest O‘Dwyer brother, Sean. There‘s what I believe to be an on-going storyline to the brothers‘s past. Looking forward to the next book, which isn‘t out til fall.

I had my big test to be a certified pharmacy tech today. Official results won‘t be for a couple weeks but my prelim results were a pass! So relieved. So to celebrate my youngest and I went for a late breakfast (the testing center was 45 minutes away and she drove me so I could do some last minute cramming) then we went to the library on our way home. So happy to read for fun again!

tammysue Congrats for passing your prelim test!! 💗😁 5y

I picked this because of the coastal SC setting and the RaeAnne Thayne quote on the cover. This story takes place in a wonderful, warm community with great characters; the coastal setting felt alive to me. Anna is on the mend in Safe Haven after leaving a violent marriage. I love that Sean is so respectful as he falls for her—he has also had trauma in his past. The ending was quick, but I‘m eager to see the characters‘ stories continue. #romantsy
