Powerful, incredibly readable with a touch of dark humour. This novel written as if a public record post events tells of how the US might find themselves facing a nuclear attack. Including real testimony of survivors from the attack‘s on Japan in 1945 it may be difficult reading for some.
In March 2020, a commercial airline flying from South Korea is shot down by North Korea who mistakes it for an American bomber. Written as a speculative fiction novel this was as a kind of after-action report from 2023 to review just what exactly caused the most horrific loss in human history. Seriously, this was kind of hard to read because 1) the timing isn't that far off, and 2) it's stupidly easy to imagine this coming to fruition.
