In what has been one of the absolute highlights of all my travels, earlier this week, we visited the Plantin-Moretus Museum, where we saw the original type case that would eventually become Times New Roman, the world‘s oldest preserved printing press, the first atlas and a 36-line Gutenberg bible. It was absolutely incredible and something this book-lover will never forget.

LeahBergen Wow!! I would love this. I once made my husband drive out of our way on holiday in Germany to visit the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz. 😆😆 4y
janeycanuck @LeahBergen I would do the exact same! Though my spouse is a book lover, as well, so it wouldn‘t be hard to convince him. We both oogled the 36-line Gutenberg Bible for a LONG time. I think we‘d have heart palpitations if we saw the 42! 4y

Yesterday we visited Antwerp and the Plantin Mauretus Museum - a printing office from the 16th centuary. Very impressive, interesting and beautiful! If you ever go to Antwerp you really should visit it, it‘s amazing!

CarolynM That museum is amazing, isn't it? 😍 I was there last year. Antwerp is a fabulous city, I hope I get to go back there sometime. 5y
