When people think about Person-Centred Therapy, they have in their mind's eye a particular way of practicing, whereas in reality there is a great deal of variation between therapists. This book presents a snapshot of current practice in all its diversity and singularity.

Bookwomble @GingerAntics If people are free to act in ways that are personally fulfilling and prosocial, they are likely to be unpredictable and egalitarian, which is not, perhaps, in the material interest of those with power. I think Maslow is still relevant as to why reducing relative poverty is anathema to the 1%. 5y
GingerAntics I totally agree with that. Anything that puts any amount of power, even simple autonomy, in the hands of the 99% is going to be fiercely apposed by the 1%. (edited) 5y
