Second book of the Balkan Trilogy. Things are moving faster now, with the fall of Carol 2 and Germany‘s about to move into Bucharest. Some parts reminded me of the 1998 riot in Indonesia. Everyone‘s anxious and scared 😞 The Pringles are brave couple to be able to go through all of these. Now Harriet has flown to Athens, and I‘m super keen to read Book 3
pickThe second book in the Balkans trilogy, this continues the story of Guy and Harriet still living in Bucharest at the beginning of WWII. As life starts to get more difficult because of the war the idea of leaving Romania and getting to Athens becomes a big part of the story. I do like this series but it is a slow read as much is going on. I have learnt a lot about Romania and WWII as well.
