Read as part of Oklahoma Humanities Let‘s Talk About it Book Club - Mysteries set in OK. Definitely falls into The Hero's Journey Narative - Loner sets out to right a wrong. I don't remember any women police officers in a book set in modern day Tulsa. All the women in the story are secondary characters that are either victims or girlfriends. Really??? I moved here in 1999 and there were women on the Tulsa Police Force.
Biggest Complaint ⬇️

Crinoline_Laphroaig *Spoiler* but it needs to be mentioned. (And besides I'm saving you from reading it.) There are no derogatory terms, but a Transgender Woman was a used just for a misleading plot point. Given the amount of violence the Transgender community faces I felt it was inappropriate.

All in all I'm glad I didn't pay money for this Sexist Man's World Book. 🖕🏻
