1) just finished the star trek design book, back to Fast and Feast
2) Muppets Christmas Carol (which we watched yesterday while eating palak chaat), Die Hard, also Swedish short film classic Karl-Bertil Jonssons Julafton
3) ok, a genuine Swedish modern classic, which spans a whole boyhood but takes place in the north and thus has plenty of snow

14/15 #jumpstart2020 @Clwojick @Lizpixie

Some aspects I really liked - the writing style, some hilarious moments (the will reading!), the insight into far north Sweden/Finland which I‘ve never read about before - but frequently it was too icky and bodily for me. I don‘t want to read in that much detail about ppl‘s body parts particularly prepubescent boys, and I wasn‘t always sure what the overall plot or direction was. Not bad overall

Clwojick Flying through those books, you‘re almost at your goal with more than a few days to spare!! 4y
Emilymdxn @Clwojick ikr thank god for being sick right?? I‘d never read this fast if I wasn‘t unable to go out 4y

#SetInASmallTown on the border between Sweden and Finland, the novel depicts the childhood and youth of a small boy caught between the clashing cultures. The hilarious family affairs are punctuated by flashes of rock music such as the first Beatles record arriving to the village (a decade later). Great read!
