pickI loved this book- loved it despite having read the rest of the series several years ago (and not having time to go back and reread). There is something to be said for that. This story is epic. And heart wrenching. And infuriating. I enjoyed everything about it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It's not fair. But so what? There was a scholar- more of a dramatist, really- who said, 'Hell is other people.' He was right, and he was a fool. Heaven is other people too.
So excited about my latest #bookhaul. It was about time I updated my TBR list! Now I just have to decide what to start first!

I finished the fourth book in the Lightbringer series by Brent Weeks last week and ooooh boy, I have a lot of feelings. But I'll keep this post spoiler-free, don't worry!
I recommend these books if you're a fan of fantasy. 📚👍🏼

pick2017 #19 Fantasy Audio Oh how I love this book, the characters, the created world and all the things in this book. It was better than book 3 and I really don't want to wait for book 5. In fact I am acting like an addict denied another fix. If you need me, I'm in the corner shivering and mumbling about light. +
My bf (who rarely reads)is reading the most recent book in a series he's obsessed with. He's close to the end & he keeps sighing & talking to me & seeming distracted. Finally I said "why are you not in the last 100 pages don't talk to me I'm finishing my book frenzy right now?" & he's like "I think I know what's going to happen & I can't deal. I'm just so stressed, this is stressful".

so-soThis was my most frustrating read of 2016. I'm four books into this series and I'm not going anywhere, but I feel totally let down.
Ahhhhhhhhh! I'm so frustrated with Gavin. To the point where if I wasn't 300 pages up in this I would bail. Crossing my fingers his storyline moves along.
so-soFeeling conflicted. It reminds me of the books in WoT that were extraneous to the series. Lightbringer has been great, but this was Extraneous. ⭐Karris, I am enjoying her transformation immensely! ⭐Gavin, because I didn't see that coming! ⭐Andros, as this wouldn't have any forward momentum without him. ❎ Kip's POV, that didn't hold my interest at all & the constant Horn jokes! Felt like teenage soft core porn. Rename it The Quest For Vaginal Sex!
Holy moly! Back-flips, twists, right angles, and tangents! I think Lightbringer fans will be happy happy with the direction The Blood Mirror is taking! I'm at home looking after the poor Frost Beast - he has a fever and infection, so I'm keeping an eagle eye on the naughty kitty. As good an eagle eye that you can give whilst being totally engrossed in a bookeh! 😁 He is doing much better after a few shots of penicillin, phew! 😺❤️😺
My signed copy of this showed up in the mail today so I guess I'm starting it too! Trying not to blow through it too quickly since it'll be about 2 more years before the last in the series comes out. 😒
