I have some reading to do...

I must admit, the comic store subscription service is a magical thing and I LOVE IT! 😍

Two months abroad and I didn‘t have to worry about missing an issue. Not. A. Single. One. So fantastic.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa That is nice! 5y
GrilledCheeseSamurai Woohoo! What a great little bundle to come home to! 🤩. Happy reading. ❤️ 5y

Yeah, it‘s well-written with gorgeous art & yes, it‘s a fantasy with a quest, lots of adventuring, talking animals (well, at least one), & a mysterious man who can work magic but it‘s also so much more. At its core, Middlewest is the story of a fractured relationship between a boy & his father & all the anger, the hurt, the love & the pain that threatens to rage (like storm) & the fear of what might happen/of the consequences, if you do. So good.

This is a great day to be a fan of comics—so many great releases!!! And so many fantastic covers! Shuri #8!!! Wonder Woman #71!!! Also this week, Runaways #21 (with one of my favorite covers of this run), Invisible Kingdom #3 (super curious to see where G. Willow Wilson is taking this story) and last but definitely not least Middlewest #7 (start of the new arc), and Middlewest Book One collecting the first six issues. Yay #ncbd!
