My brother and sister didn‘t like vegetables, but to me they were #treats and still are. It was also a treat to see Jose Andres again the other night. #fallisbooked

This book is unpretentious, which I appreciate! A recipe for microwave macaroni & black pepper that Andres and his daughter developed. He also describes artichokes as a “pain in the ass.” 😂😆👍🏾
Love these kinds of inspirational ideas in cookbooks! 😋 Piquillo Peppers 🌶
By odd coincidence, my pre-order of Jamie‘s newest book arrived from the UK, in the same week my library hold of Jose‘s book downloaded.
Love these guys! Their work in communities is so inspiring and both are full of infectious passion for people and food. These books feature great down-to-earth writing, and seasonal recipes that focus on produce at it‘s peak deliciousness. Most recipes are simple, just letting the beauty of each vegetable sing.
After hearing Andrés' ebullient presentation at the #NatBookFest, I went down to buy this book and We Fed an Island. It was win-win-win, because profits go to World Central Kitchen (the NGO Andrés founded to serve meals in disaster areas,) Politics & Prose was the festival's bookseller, so I got to support a local independent business, and I get a gorgeous new cookbook. It really is a thing of beauty. ❤️❤️❤️
Had a shopping accident. So excited for this book
