Some very tasty #LitsyPartyOfOne snacks! On a Blake Crouch Recursion hangover I picked this up from the library on a whim. It's due back soon so I'm hoping to get through some of it tonight as well!

Blake Crouch never let's me down! I love his newer books and I've been meaning to grab some of his older work for so long and I'm glad I finally did.
This reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode....creepy, unsettling and completely unnerving
The Master of Mind F*ck has done it again (or already....this is an older book....whatever...you know what I mean 😂)

Not quite tired yet but getting there. This has been on my TBR for a long time so no time like the present to get started.
This isn't a long one so let's see how far I get before I drift off or my ereader dies. Whichever comes first 😂

Pines by Blake Crouch is a very engaging and fun read. Lots of suspense and sweating involved. I‘m excited to read the second book in the trilogy (Wayward Pines) so I guess that‘s got to be a good sign!
June of this year Blake Crouch released his new book Recursion. It was a total mind bender and I loooooved it. So I was totally stoked to find out he actually has a trilogy that revolves a small town in Idaho that is MUCH more than it seems.
I was even more stoked when I realized all 3 books are on Kindle Unlimited FOR FREE. 🤤#kindleunlimited #kindle #ereader #waywardpines
Well this wasn't what I expected! I thought this was something close to David Baldacci but it ended up more like The Maze Runner. I think this is a good book but the first part could learn something from The Maze Runner. I think it could have given the reader a bit more info and/or breathing breaks to make it more interesting right from the beginning. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series! 😊
I had the remainder of an Amazon gift card I had a hankering to burn through so I picked up a few today, including the tagged series. My boyfriend just finished the first book and thought I would enjoy. You can get the whole series for Kindle for only $5!
The start and ending were interesting, but I zoned out during the middle part. Not sure uf I'll pick up the next two books.
I loved this book. It was fast paced with lots of twists. It kept me guessing all the way through. Was well written. I will definitely be reading the rest of the books in this series 😀 #books #kindle #bookreview #blakecrouch

I am trying to read the Wayward Pines trilogy this weekend, but the first book is driving me nuts! Ethan just keeps getting the crap beat out of him. I hope we move past that. #somethingwickedfall #readathon #TwoInThree #BookAWeekChallenge
A few days late, but I finished another #FreakyFriday book. It was fast-paced, and I appreciated the nod to Twin Peaks. It's also the first book I've read from this author!

Absolutely gripping and gave me adrenaline rushes all long as I leafed through the pages. A beautiful piece of work. A must read for mystery and thriller junkies. Looking forward to reading other installments in the Wayward Pines series :)
My library hold came in! Now I have another book to add to my #FreakyFriday stack.😊

2. Tartan Noir (sub-genre, but my fave)
3. Pines & Sleeping Giants

6. If you could have an unlimited supply of one book to give any & all to read, what would it be? 🤔

I do love visiting the Main branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. The only problem is limiting myself! 😊📚☕ #bookhaul
Snowy Sunday! Staying warm with this book. #bookclub #readyourbookshelf #readyourshelf #rys2018
More than So-So, but not quite a Pick for me.
I did like the writing and the story — twists at every turn! I barely had time to adjust to the weirdness that more weirdness was thrown at me! Surprisingly, I liked that 😅 It definitely kept me guessing. The big reveal was a bit of a let-down to me, taking the story in a direction which is not quite my cup of tea. Also, a fair bit of graphic violence. Otherwise, good thriller — might recommend it.
This book is already driving me crazy. In a good way, I guess. I can feel Ethan‘s frustration and puzzlement at the weirdness and crazy amount of suckage (can‘t think of a better word for it, sorry) that he has experienced since he woke up. I mean it is positively maddening 😨😠😰😶
Questions beget delicious questions
The mystery of what is Wayward Pines keeps the pages turning without being cliche or an unfair tease. Information emerges at just the right time to quench the reader‘s thirst without being heavy handed. I I lost myself in this world and can‘t wait to read this again to see what wonderful gems I missed.
This was a mind-bending novel by a masterful writer. It was very fast-paced, and even though I was frustrated with Burke at times, you couldn't help but feel just as lost with him throughout. The ending caught me off guard and I'm still trying to figure out if I like the direction it went in, but I do plan to continue reading the trilogy, so I guess I will decide then.
This book had me in the first few pages, and I couldn‘t put it down. It has a little something for everyone, murder mystery action. If you‘re looking for something different and exciting this might be it.
This is how my morning started. OH YEAHHHH it did!
Here are some books from my TBR list that take place in my state.
I couldn't find books that took place near where I lived, so I just went with the same state.

I'm surprised by how closely the tv show follows the book. I feel like the book would've been creepier if I hadn't already seen the show but still good.
I'm happy I was able to finish a third book for #24in48! This is the first book in Crouch's Wayward Pines trilogy. I loved reading about the town and how and why it was different. I didn't always love the action parts of the book, which started to feel redundant to me. The 300 pages flew by though and I'm anxious to see where the series goes.
Just chillin with some pines-apple.
Har Har.
Sorry, I couldn't help myself 😉

Current Mood: Blake Crouch
I haven't read a series in quite a while so I grabbed both the Wayward Pines and The Road to Nowhere series on sale in the Kindle store!
People loved this. I did not. Mostly, I felt annoyed and eyeball-rolly and I am quite sure I was supposed to care about the main character and his plight, but I just couldn't. An alternate title could be "Running Away, Often Naked." I just cleared three books off my Kindle.
An interesting mystery with a bit of a twist. Not much romance, but interesting characters. Kind of a tough ride in places, but a great read overall. Look forward to seeing what Crouch does with the series. Twin Peaks fans should give it a go.
Having read and loved Dark Matter I came to this with high hopes. From the very start you can tell it's by Crouch because of his cinematic qualities. I won't go into the story too much for fear of spoiling but suffice to say this is about a Secret Service Agent who wakes up in the middle of an unknown street with amnesia. Where is he and how did he get there? All he remembers is 'Mack'...and so the mysterious thrills begin...
