pickHumorist Jean Kerr gained notoriety in 1957 when she wrote Please Don‘t Eat The Daisies. As a mom of 6, she had plenty of stories & often parked her Chevy a few blocks from her house for writing time-in longhand! Why the crazy title for this witty 1960 book of essays? Her son comes home & sadly says he won the role of Adam in his school play: Adam & Eve. She asks why he‘s not happy since it‘s a leading role. He replies: Because The Snake Has... 😂
