Ghoulfire
Ghoulfire | Rabia Gale
1 post | 1 read
A ghoul is at large. A Guardian is dead. Trouble has come to Lumen.
Aided by the shadowy figure known as the Master, the ghoul has eluded Trey Shield and the Bureau for months. As it consumes the souls of magicians, it grows more powerful. And now it hungers for the Guardian’s successor, a young woman suddenly charged with bearing a centuries-old magical artifact: the debutante Arabella Trent.
Trey never wanted to involve Arabella in danger, but it’s come for her anyway. The two must join forces to defeat the Master’s sinister plot and save their city.

Pickpick

This second book offers more details about the characters and the world, which is exactly what I hoped for. There are lots of typos, but I was willing to look past them to enjoy the story. A good editor would easily fix similar minor flaws. I would have liked to see Trey and Arabella interact even more because I love them together. New characters were also interesting; though some seem a bit caricatural at first, they usually quickly gain depth.
