Harvest Festival: Suspense Horror, #3 | Karl Drinkwater
3 posts | 1 read | 4 to read
First the birds went quiet. Then the evening sky filled with strange clouds that trapped the heat below. Now Callum wakes, dripping in sweat. Something has come to his isolated Welsh farm. If he's going to keep his family alive during this single night when all hell breaks loose, he'll have to think fast. And when he sees what he's facing, he suspects even that may not be enough. This blast of a book can be read in one nail-biting session.

Does anyone else get irrationally excited when an author likes your book review on Goodreads? 😲😆❤️

Birdsong28 Yes! Also I love it when they comment, even when you have slightly critiqued their work and take it well. 📚📖 2w
jb72 I would totally be excited for sure. I am giddy when one comments on a FB message too. 2w
LibrarianRyan YES! Even though I am not a big twitter person and I never tag the author, I love it when they retweet my review. (edited) 2w
Texreader Yes I love it when that happens, even here on Litsy!! 2w

After @JoScho posted about this yesterday, I had to download and read it. This is the first Karl Drinkwater story that I‘ve ever read, but it definitely won‘t be the last! This one is a novella, and a surprisingly engrossing read for such a short book. An excellent horror! This one really kept me on the edge of my seat. A great October read!

JoScho Yay! I‘m going to read it. So glad you enjoyed it 🖤 1mo
GypsyKat @JoScho It was really great! 1mo
