Through it All I've Always Laughed
Through it All I've Always Laughed: Memoirs of Count Arthur Strong | Count Arthur Strong
1 post | 1 to read
Count Arthur Strong tells the story of his extraordinary journey from his humble early years as the only son of contortionist in wartime Doncaster to the dizzy heights and excesses of fame as one of the shining lights of popular entertainment. Count Arthur Strong is a show business legend, after-dinner speaker and a leading authority on Ancient Egypt, having been stationed there during his nation service. He has countless friends in the showbiz world. People like Barry Cryer, the white haired one with glasses off 'I'm Sorry I Haven't Got A Clue' and 'Jokers Wild'. This is his first volume, of what he believes may be a 6 volume collection, of his memoirs. He has a few select dates still available for anything (except window cleaning) and is represented, (if you can call it that) by Richard Daws at Komedia Entertainment. (Or if you want to go directly through me and pay cash, I can do that as well.) (In fact I prefer that.) Thank you.

Went to see Count Arthur Strong tonight & almost died from lack of oxygen, I was laughing so hard! He did an excellently terrible rendition of Bowie's "Starman" as his opening gambit, so he had me hooked from the start. Bought his "memoirs" & got it signed after the performance. Sad to hear there'll be no new TV but there is a radio Christmas special being recorded, and a new project being touted. Great evening, & I'm looking forward to the book?

Aimeesue Glad you had a great time, but now I'm sad! No more new tv episodes!! Nooooooooo! But now I want to watch the episode where they're in the "haunted" house. ? (edited) 5y
Bookwomble @Aimeesue It was hilarious. If you get the chance to catch his tour, I'd recommend it. I asked him about the TV show when getting my book signed, and he seemed genuinely disappointed that another series hadn't been commissioned, but hopefully his new project will be taken up. I like the flying lesson episode 😂🛫🛬 5y
Aimeesue @Bookwomble That's a good one, too! 😂 Sadly for me, Count Arthur Strong does not seem to be headed for America, so I will have to watch for a televised version. But I'm probably one of 37 CAS fans in the US, and 2 others live in my house with me. 😂 5y
Bookwomble @Aimeesue Oh, I'm surprised you've heard of him at all in the USA - I assumed you must have been UK based. His humour strikes me as being quintessentially British, so I'm glad you enjoy his stuff 💖🇬🇧💖 5y
