So as I have a thing for Victorian literature I decided to read/listen to a book of manners written during the time. It is a great laugh. I am beyond clumsy, so I know for a fact that I would utterly fail getting in and out of a carriage in a big hoop skirt or the like. It makes me really appreciative of the fact I live in 2019 and not 1860. If just for the fact that I can walk across the room by myself unaccompanied by a man in a public place.
