I really didn‘t like the narrators voice of the audiobook.

They strayed from the book quite a bit. They removed 1 character and they definitely made it more “fun”.

Serious question, is RL Stine considered classic horror?

Revisiting my favorite Goosebumps books recently and really, can the cover art get any better? Wish now that I‘d kept all my old books. While reading I used a bookmark I made as a kid which goes to show I have not changed: still love horror, books, and cats.

Lizzy, her parents, her younger brother and his friend are all on their way to Zoo Gardens Theme Park, but when her father leaves the map at home and they take a wrong turn they end up staring at a sign that reads "Welcome to Horrorland where nightmares come to life!" The attractions seem fun and everyone's excited. Things turn scary quickly however. Suddenly things aren't so fun anymore.

Goosebumps #16:
🍭Starts off pretty fast & jumps into things almost right away, unlike the predecessors of the series (#1-11 as I‘m missing #12-15 for now).
🍭Creepy and gross, but has decent ambiance.
🍭Some of the twists felt they were pulled out of nowhere, which took away from tone.
🍭If the intro took more time to establish, it would feel less rushed & random.
