Die schönsten Dinge: Roman | Toni Jordan
4 posts | 1 read

This one definitely gets a good rating for its originality. A heroine who comes from a trickster-family. 😂 That part of the plot was really interesting and entertaining.

Towards the end, during the last 1,5-hours or so, I wasn‘t quite as intrigued as in the beginning and the end left me a bit unsatisfied, too, but overall I had a diverting time with this due to its unusual initial situation and its unusual point of view.

At about hour 3.
Meanwhile the plot is pretty clear and the twists and turns are easy to guess but I‘m nevertheless having fun.

I mean come on, a story told from the point of view of a trickster. 😂 Della tries to sell Daniel a pup. Of course things don‘t go as she planned and so you get much background info of how she prepares her alternative missions and plans.

That‘s so entertaining‼ï¸ðŸ˜‚

Oh dear, when I started this in the evening of the day before yesterday I must have been very tired because I fell asleep long before my sleep timer ended. 😂

So I rewinded it a lot as I continued it yesterday. But yes, I like it; the initial situation on the one hand is a bit weird but gets points for originality on the other hand.

It will soon be time for another 40 minutes of audio-lunch. 😋

ljuliel I have the same problem. I fall asleep and lose my place. Now I just set the bookmark where I started listening, then usually end up going back to that spot again to start the next day. 4y

“A scientist who is none in search of an animal that does not exist falls in love with a man whom she grossly underestimates … “

It‘s the blurb of this serendipity that made me curious, and now I have a new audiobook to look forward to.
