Midnight Vista
Midnight Vista | Eliot Rahal
2 posts | 1 read
Oliver Flores and his stepfather, Nomar Perez, were turning right onto Midnight Vista Road when they were both abducted by aliens. To Oliver's mother, they were both just missing. To the police, they were declared legally dead. And to everyone else growing up in Albuquerque, Oliver Flores was the "Milk Carton Kid." His life was the cautionary tale of an eight-year-old who was kidnapped and killed by his stepdad while out for some ice cream. But now -- years later -- a fully grown adult Oliver walks back into town. He has been returned...and he remembers everything. Based on a very personal, true story from writer Eliot Rahal (HOT LUNCH SPECIAL), with out-of-this-world art from Clara Meath, MIDNIGHT VISTA will make you believe in little grey men.

I kind of just have to laugh. I got excited for a second about another international release I‘ve been anticipating from one of my favorite bands today. It‘s already out in the UK if you like Indie Rock. Vistas is a great band from Edinburgh. I hear patience is a virtue 😂🎶🤪

julesG Wow, you had to be very patient today. Glad it worked out. 2y
MatchlessMarie @julesG It‘s been a weird day for releases. This single, another album from a different band and then the Adam Kay book which still isn‘t showing in audible. I‘m tempted to just get it off book depository while I wait 😂 2y

Pickpick

This book contains the first 5 issues of the graphic novel Midnight Vista. The story grabbed me from the start. Oliver and his step dad are abducted by aliens. While it appears that at first they are subjected to painful experiments, in a later issue it seems that they feel no pain during the experiment.

The first 4 issues really entertained me. The 5th one not so much. Overall I enjoyed reading this.
