Hovers between Pick and So-so. It was predictable but I‘m okay with that if the journey is a great ride and I like the characters. MC Coco, an only child of successful parents, loses them to a terror attack in Paris. Then she proceeds to date some losers (even marries and divorces one before the age of 25!) Her naïveté was overwhelming, but the resolution was palatable. The theme is admirable and universal.

I wanted to like this book. It seemed like the easy-to-read romance I was wanting, but the writing style is SUPER repetitive and annoying. I guess I've never read a Danielle Steel novel before...are they all like this?

BookishMarginalia I loved Danielle Steel as a young teen and read everything she‘d written at that point. Then I was done. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 3y

Coco is an only child living a very privileged life. Sam is her best friend and has been since fourth grade. Tragedy strikes when Coco‘s parents are killed when a terror attack strikes Air France plane they are on. Coco goes through a series unsuccessful relationships over the course of several years, even producing a daughter. She is just about ready to “settle again“ before she realizes her true love is right before her eyes.
