Though I at first had reservations about continuing, I ended up enjoying this mystery immensely. Seasonally appropriate with a cult religion, witchcraft and bonfires, Miss Seeton saves the day (literally).

I almost bailed on this one immediately, as it kicked off with a victim of animal sacrifice. 😖 But reading a bit more, I got pulled in - it‘s so much fun to see how Miss Seeton innocently always comes out on top.

Is she a witch? Hmmm... Miss Seeton is at it again, always accidentally helping the police out. This time they've made it official and she can be reimbursed for all the umbrellas damaged in the line of duty. These are super easy reads and are light-hearted, even though they are dated. If you can get past that and the fact that, then enjoy a gentle read filled with village gossip and an accidental, and reluctant, helper of the police.
