Pickpick

Hortense, there was just something about her strength and resiliency that made me want to know her more. Her backstory was interesting and also very sad. Lord James Asquith was a surprising character. I was a little shocked at the twists in this story that surrounded his past but it definitely added interest to the overall story. There was also a push-pull attraction between Jamie and Hortense that was fun to see play out. An adventurous romance!
