I LOVED THIS SERIES! The ending was so good. The kids are back at Grace Field House. After book 19 they had taken over almost anything, but Peter Ratari was still left. Now it was time for his defeat. But should he die? Moral questions abound in this series, and I loved how the character Emma was always the moral compass. She could find if not the good in everyone, the reason for people to be the way they are ⬇

LibrarianRyan and how that influences their actions. And it is this special sight that helps the series wrap un in such an exciting, hopeful and loving way. I am a bit sad to part ways with this crew after 3 months and 20 books. It has been a long but wonderful ride. Now I just have to see the anime. I have heard it‘s fantastic. I hope it lives up to the books, because this series was wonderful. 2y
ShelleyBooksie What age group is this targeted for? Wondering if my kiddo (11) could read. She has just discovered manga 2y
LibrarianRyan @ShelleyBooksie it is really violent. And rated OT or T+. Now I would let my nephew read it but I‘m incredibly liberal. And their mother lets him watch worse. So if they do not like horror it might be too much. It looks fun and cute from the cover but is actually violent and semi gory. It‘s about humans being food sources for demons (monsters). 2y
Christyco125 Those stinking covers get me all the time. It‘s almost the cuter and fuzzier the cover the more horrific the story. My 13 year old had to school me on where to find the age ratings. 2y
LibrarianRyan Yeah I bought it for another‘s littens 9 year old daughter because I thought it was a Peter Pan retelling. Oops. 2y

The final volume! For a while I was worried that the series would never get a real ending, but as it turns out 20 volumes was exactly long enough. What a journey. All the feels in this one.
Thank you @LibrarianRyan for sending the first vol. to my (strictly speaking too young at the time!) Firstborn years ago. 3/4 of the fam have been following the children of Grace Field House and their battle for survival & freedom ever since.

LibrarianRyan I really need to read this series. It‘s good to know it‘s complete. I‘m pretty sure it was an anime too. 2y
Leniverse @LibrarianRyan From what I've heard the first season of the animé is good, but then in the second season they decided to do their own thing and completely changed the storyline. So I haven't watched it. 2y
